I used to flee from school to do those things with my friends. After the school being over in our way home we used to play ha-du-du, hide and seek, gather plums or stole green mangoes from some trees and sometimes used to bathe in stream. So, I was hardly beaten or scolded by my teachers for negligence to studies. In school the classes were not much interesting to me but the leisure period was interesting while we used to play various sports. My cousin who was one year senior to me was my constant school-going companion. I used to go to school with my village friends. Then I was made to take my admission in another school called Mathbari Government Primary School. I studied in a distant primary school namely Kanchichora Government Primary School upto class two. The memories of my school days dominate my childhood. Whenever I feel very lonely or dejected I dive into the memories of my childhood, remove my loneliness and fill my heart with happiness. The memories of my childhood haunt me like a passion very often. To me childhood is the sweetest period in a man’s life. Childhood is an important part of human life as many events of both pleasure and pain take place during that period. Man loves to turn back to his past and feel nostalgic. Now, I am a young man but I will ever cherish the sweet memories of my happy childhood spent in the charming environment of my village. My father had to come to town on service purpose and we also came with him. ![]() I embraced my mother and promised not to leave her again. Luckily friend of mine saw me crying and he took me to my home. Once I got lost as I followed a group of people who were rendering songs from door to door. An incident of my childhood still haunts me. We passed our time playing in the fields, flying kites in the sky, exploring the jungle, picking up fruits from the trees and so on. Green fields, riverbanks were my playgrounds. I have so many sweet memories of my childhood. I started my education at the village primary school when I was 6 years old. I used to pass my childhood days playing with other village children. There were many trees, ponds, green fields in the village. I was born in a small village named Hulerhat on the bank of the river Kajolia. I often remember the memories of my childhood.
